About the Role:

During this internship program, the Sourcing Assistant will be responsible for supporting and conducting thorough research for WilsonHCG’s recruiting/sourcing team. This internship program will allow a group of three to five interns to work toward a common goal while gaining knowledge in using different platforms and databases to find sources compliant with the customer’s needs. This team will be directed and supervised by a full-time, experienced Sourcing Specialist.

This internship program will provide thorough insight on the processes the recruiting/sourcing team goes through interfacing with clients and candidates. In addition, this internship program will hone students’ social media skills and simultaneously enhance their knowledge of various social media platforms. Once this internship program is completed, you will be able to use different skillsets to find the sources necessary for the team. Such skillsets are:

  • Sales Pipelining
  • Candidate Review
  • Job Description Review
  • Job Posting Skills
  • Time Management
  • Phone Screen Process
  • New Client Review
  • Marketing Research
  • Inbound Calls
  • Account Management
  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Knowledge
  • Boolean Search Skills

The Sourcing Assistant primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assists with developing and executing the overall marketing/social media strategy and its implementation to include the development of social media plans for various campaigns with the goal to build, grow and engage online communities
  • Create and maintain a rich social media presence across all major social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, blogs and other social media tactics
  • Assists in the maintenance of existing organizational social media platforms through continuous posting of relevant material and monitoring as directed
  • Generate compelling written content such as articles and blog posts to establish and broaden awareness of the WilsonHCG brand
  • Increases social media presence on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Manages social media metrics, evaluation and analysis, and creates and manages social media dashboard, including creating reports for campaigns and monthly social media activity and initiatives
  • Stays updated on new social media sites, platforms and emerging technologies
  • Researches new social media platforms to expand WilsonHCG’s strategic presence
  • Additional marketing and/or delivery projects may be assigned

The purpose for all of these skillsets is to perform the duties of a full-time Sourcer/Recruiter. Once these skillsets are learned, each intern will be able to implement them for any sales/recruiting company



  • Senior/rising Junior
  • Minimum of 20 hours a week
  • 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High energy level and comfortable managing multiple tasks and projects at one time
  • Resourceful, well-organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail-oriented
